Can anybody please help me?

For the records:

it seems that TV only works when connected directly (I was connecting via VNC to screen 1, not to the main display). Also I installed the net tools

sudo apt-get install inetutils-ping
sudo apt-get install net-tools

It now works - only on LAN via VNC.

Thanks Eltech!

1. Right click with mouse on free space on desktop and select "Create file". A new file will be created on you desktop.
2. Right click with mouse on the new file and select "Edit with text editor". New file will be opened in a new window in editing mode.
2.1. Past the following text to the new file
    [Desktop Entry]
    Name=TeamViewer
    Comment=TeamViewer icon
    Icon=/opt/exagear/images/debian-7/opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/desktop/teamviewer.png
    Exec=/opt/exagear/images/debian-7/bin/bash /opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/script/teamviewer
    Type=Application
    Encoding=UTF-8
    Terminal=false
    Categories=None;
2.2. Select "File" -> "Save" and then close the window.
3. Now you see that the new file was renamed into TeamViewer and has TeamViewer's icon view.
4. Right click on the TeamViewer icon and selecy "Options" -> "Permitions" -> "Execute" -> "Everybody". Save and exit.
5. Double click on Teamviewer icon to lunch Teamviewer.

If you prefer using the terminal then you need to create the following file with executable rights for all users:
Code: Select all
$ cat /home/pi/Desktop/Teamviewer.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Name=TeamViewer
Comment=TeamViewer icon
Icon=/opt/exagear/images/debian-7/opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/desktop/teamviewer.png
Exec=/opt/exagear/images/debian-7/bin/bash   /opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/script/teamviewer
Type=Application
Encoding=UTF-8
Terminal=false
Categories=None;

Hello,

I have a raspberry pi 3 and I am trying to run teamviewer following the steps in https://eltechs.com/run-teamviewer-on-raspberry-pi/.
but teamviewer displays the message:
TeamViewer daemon not running
Please start daemon before running teamviewer:

teamviewer --daemon start

I have try using:
# sudo teamviewer --daemon start
# sudo teamviewer --daemon enable
# sudo /opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/teamviewerd start

In all cases when executing # sudo teamviewer --daemon status it said:

systemctl status teamviewerd.service
● teamviewerd.service - TeamViewer remote control daemon
Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/teamviewerd.service; enabled)
Active: active (running) since Fri 2017-05-19 11:17:57 -04; 3min 29s ago
Main PID: 668 (teamviewerd)
CGroup: /system.slice/teamviewerd.service
└─668 /opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/teamviewerd -d

So I don't understand why is not working.
Also I'm not using remote control on the raspberry

Any help would be appreciated

I found that TeamViewer shows the message that daemon not started if you run TeamViewer remotely. I mean if you are not using the monitor directly connected to your device but forwarding graphics to your another device in the local network. It was Teamviewer behavior on any of my devices (x86 devices also).
