ExaGear headless: Spotify to bluetooth

ExaGear headless: Spotify to bluetooth

Postby sunday_pi » Mon May 16, 2016 3:41 pm

Hi all,

Have a R Pi 3, running ExaGear Desktop. I'm new to the Pi otherwise but not Unix/Linux.
It is running headless, with XQuartz as my XWindows host on Mac OSX.
Connected to my wireless network.

Under ExaGear I run Spotify.
Plays well to corded headphone (A/V) output.
I cannot get it to play to bluetooth headphones or speaker.

Bluetooth devices are fully configured and paired etc under the host OS with blueman, pulseaudio etc. Connecting isn't the problem.

I got the bright(?) idea I might need pulseaudio in the guest OS (Ubuntu 14.04), but this hasn't seemed to help.

Suggestions?

Hello!
Sorry, didn't see your post. Did you solve the issue?

Hi,
I am also facing the same issue.
Each time I configure my (successfully connected and well working bluetooth speaker) bluetooth speaker as audio output out of the operating system (latest Raspbian OS Image with all updates installed - Raspbian Jessie), Spotify stops to play music (track not found, etc...).
Despite I can play sounds/music out of the operating system to my bluetooth speaker..

Any idea would be very welcome, as I want to get rid of the 3,5mm audio-jack cable which I use now as a workaround for non-working bluetooth.

Thanks!
